EU foreign ministers to discuss Russian oil embargo on May 16

BRUSSELS, May 13 (PRIME) -- Foreign ministers of the E.U. countries will meet on May 16 to discuss an embargo on Russian oil, head of the E.U. diplomacy Josep Borrell said on Friday.

“We will strengthen the pressure on Russia with the help of economic sanctions, continue to work on international isolation of Russia and to counteract misinformation. We will maintain the unity in support of Ukraine. … The foreign affairs ministers will discuss this (an oil embargo) next Monday. I will present new political inputs in order to reach an agreement,” he said.
